Experience QuietRock®--Visit our Sound Dome at IBS

We’ve all experienced unwanted noise—whether a noisy neighbor, loud TV or music, or appliances such as a washer or dryer. Reducing the noise transmitted between common walls within a multi-family residence or between rooms in a single-family home will make for a more peaceful environment for the home owner. That in turn can be helpful to you as the builder in promoting this amenity to your future home buyers or building owners.

That’s where QuietRock comes in. PABCO® Gypsum’s QuietRock Sound Reducing Drywall is the first product of its kind to address sound and fire resistance using a single panel.

QuietRock Benefits

  • Builders and contractors will stay on schedule as the product is easy to install and finishes just like standard drywall
  • Its patented, single-layer thin wall technology meets sound and design requirements without sacrificing valuable floor space, time or reliability
  • Advancement of PABCO’s viscoelastic polymers and gypsum core technologies help create the industry’s most trusted and widely used sound reducing drywall products available
  • Backed by a dedicated technical support team and extensive testing, QuietRock is your solution to sound control

Be sure to check out our Sound Dome and experience the QuietRock difference firsthand at Booth SU1636.

Dedication to Acoustic Testing

Lack of effective noise control is cited as a major source of complaint by condominium owners in multi-family dwellings. This, combined with the current trend toward multi-family housing, has led to increased emphasis by builders on the control of noise in new construction and correspondingly a need for reliable technical information on the subject.

PABCO Gypsum has Conducted Nearly 1000 Acoustic Tests

Over the last three years, PABCO Gypsum has conducted nearly 1,000 ASTM E90 Sound Transmission Loss (STL) tests on wood and steel framing with varying framing and panel configurations. This level of testing and analysis on building noise control is rare and reflects PABCO® Gypsum’s commitment to the development and progress of the building construction industry.

What we discovered was a great deal of variation in test results. Learn why by stopping at Booth SU 1636 to hear the results of our research. What you’ll learn will help you achieve the STC results you expect.
